It’s the self-proclaimed “loudest silent movie on earth” and a real mouthful to pronounce. It features an all-star cast of rock music legends such as Iggy Pop, Slash, Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, Henry Rollins, Grace Jones and Lemmy of Motorhead, just to name a few.
Coming from the mind of Swedish visual artist Bjorn Tagemoste, it is a unique blend of a silent movie with the accompaniment of a live rock band with artists being seen behind, in front of and on the screen.
“The idea for the movie came a few years ago” says Tagemoste. “We did a really explosive show for The Hives, with a similar concept”. Adding: “This film is very similar to the one we made with The Hives, but it is a lot longer and it plays a lot more on classic themes that you would see in silent movies”.
After a successful test screening at the Forum in London earlier in the month, the show has announced it will be on tour in early 2016 and is being featured at both Download festival and Isle of Wight next year.
