Record Store Day will continue their support of independent record stores with a slew of special releases starting on the 27 November in cohesion with Black Friday.
New releases include a re-issue of David Bowie’s Earthling in translucent green vinyl, a special 40th anniversary edition of Queens Bohemian Rhapsody and the release of the new Megadeth single The Threat is Real as a 12” single, among many others already announced.
Record stores across the UK will be participating in the event including Rough Trade East and Kingston’s Banquet Records. “We usually sell quite a bit of the Black Friday stock here” says Mike Smith, Manager of Banquet Records. “We’re still getting info through on releases & won’t be sure exactly what stock we’ll have until it arrives, but we already have a number of releases advertised on our website”.
There are still many releases yet to be confirmed and many stores still joining the event, all participating stores and a list of announced releases are on the Record Store Day’s website.
